Education in Neurology

The educational mission is a key part of the Department of Neurology's daily activities. Neurology faculty members take pride in educating medical students, residents and fellows throughout the year.

The department welcomes students from LCME-accredited schools of medicine and osteopathic medicine for . Its residency program provides outstanding post-graduate training in neurology and accepts four residents per year. The curriculum is built around active patient-care experiences as well as formal didactic sessions. Three fellowships are also available.

The Department of Neurology also sponsors continuing medical education seminars, as well as neuroscience seminars and neurology grand rounds. External health care providers are invited to Friday afternoon grand rounds, which feature both internal and nationally recognized speakers.
