Biography

Dr. Michael Partin serves as the Program Director for the Family and Community Medicine Residency at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. A dedicated educator and mentor, he is passionate about supporting the growth of residents and medical students through hands-on clinical teaching, scholarly engagement, and innovative curriculum design. Dr. Partin leads the residency’s quality improvement curriculum and has helped foster a culture of collaboration and inquiry among residents and faculty.

His primary research interests include innovation in medical education, with a special focus on integrating artificial intelligence into both clinical practice and teaching environments. He has co-authored multiple clinical reviews and original research with residents and faculty on topics including dermatologic conditions, asthma, men’s health, and preventive care, with publications in Family Medicine, Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine, and American Family Physician.

Clinically, Dr. Partin provides comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients across the lifespan. He has particular interests in geriatrics, prenatal care, and office-based procedures.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Partin enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, playing pickleball, and hiking new trails throughout central Pennsylvania. As a proud season pass holder at Hersheypark, he’s always ready for a day of roller coasters with his family.
